Jo Beth Hooker was born to Fred and Ann Hearn in Memphis, Tennessee on June 20, 1958. She attended the University of Memphis from 1976-1978. While at the university, she met and eventually married her husband, Bob, in 1978.

 

A stay-at-home mom, she has spent the past twenty-five years rearing their six daughters and being a helpmeet to her husband in the ministry. Jo Beth leads and instructs the wives of the ministry workers as they labor to reach sailors for Christ. She teaches a college class for ladies at Hyles-Anderson College per semester, is a contributing writer for the Christian Womanhood Newspaper, and has authored and co-authored the books: When Troubles Hide and Romance in Marriage.

 

Though she is a conference speaker and counselor, she is first and foremost a wife and Mom-titles of which she is very proud. 

Brooke, age 25, is wife of Michael Williams. Michael and Brooke, both graduates of Hyles-Anderson College, are now on deputation as missionaries to Congo, Africa. They have one little boy who is two years old. His name is Grant. Their home, when not on the road is in a town  called McMillan, in the upper peninsula of  Michigan. Brooke and Michael were married three years on June 9, 2004.

 

Ashley, age 24, is wife of Luke Hamilton. Luke is an assistant pastor for Rick Finley in Durham, NC where he and Ashley also reside. They are both graduates of Hyles- Anderson. They have one little girl whose name is Victoria who is 2 years old. They call her Tori. Luke and Ashley will be married four years on November 4, 2004.

 

Heather, age 22, is wife of Dennis Higgins. Dennis is an assistant pastor under his dad in Morristown, New Jersey, where he and Heather also reside. They are both also graduates of Hyles-Anderson. They have one little boy named Jackson who is two months old. Dennis and Heather were married two years on September, 14, 2004.

 

Candace, age 20, is a junior at Hyles-Anderson College working on a degree in elementary education. She is a member of the college's summer tour group, active in church and in the Sailor ministry. She is presently dating our pastor's son, Ken Schaap. Candace lives at home.

 

Amber, age 18, is a freshmen at Hyles-Anderson College working on a secretarial certificate. She is presently living in the dorms on campus and thoroughly enjoying college life. She is active at college and at church in both the bus ministry and the Sailor Ministry. She also is part of various ensemble groups.

 

Taralynn, age 16, is a junior in high school. She is a cheerleader at Hammond Baptist High and very active as a soul winner, a Sailor Ministry worker, and a volunteer at both church and school.
